Born 1972 in Salzburg (A). Graduated in Communication, Mass Media and Film Studies as well as History in Vienna. Has been working as a freelance journalist and researcher in the field of popular culture since 1996. Published widely on experimental arts and music scenes. Coordinating editor of «skug – Journal für Musik» (www.skug.at). Since 2002 research editor and press officer for various music and art festivals. Receipt of grant in 2004 by the Austrian Department of Culture for a scientific case study on Viennese music clubs since 1955, to be published in 2007 by Turia+Kant. In 2005 director of the festival «SoundBridges» (www.fluc.at/march05/1-16_soundbridges_web.pdf). In 2007 lecturer at the Master Studies programme «Musikmanagement» at the Donauuniversität Krems. Lectures and presentations in Bologna, Prague, Salzburg, Vienna, Munich and London on different aspects of audiovisual arts, music and film. Runs the independent media platform [Text|Dept], co-founder of the blog «ICRN – Industrialized Culture Research Network» (http://icrn.blogspot.com). Organizer of events, part-time musician, DJ.
