Lara Houston is currently finishing an MA in Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths College, London. She is profoundly interested in technology and design, and their potentialities at the level of everyday life. Having trained as a designer, she has been VJing for the past 4 years at a wide variety of events. She has been most recently working within the group Narrative Lab, founded in 2003 with Paul Mumford to research narrative structures in VJing, and to produce new and interesting work. In 2005 she helped to organize and curate the AVITUK festival, and she remains on the committee ready to take the UK node of this international movement to its next stage. Her freelance working activities have involved spells at Imagination, Exceeda, bodydataspace and Bodo Sperlein working in design, production and research arenas.ased techniques to explore experiences of 'nowness' using webcams and VJing techniques of real time processing in installations and public art works.
