How to contribute

Texts

Headings
Font Verdana, size 12, colour black, single line spacing

Texts
Font Verdana, size 10, colour black, single line spacing

Quotations within the text

Use double quotation marks to quote work unless it is a quotation inside a quotation, in which case use single quotation marks. If it is more than 40 words, present it as a block quotation: indented left 1cm, no quotation marks.

1.2 In-text citations

1.2.1 When the author's surname is referred to in the text, write the year of publication in brackets after the name of the author.

Examples:
One author: Jones (1946)
Two works by two authors: Jones (1946) and Smith (1948)
One work by two authors: (Jones 1946; Smith 1948)
More than two authors: Green et al. (1995)
More than one work by the same author: Boggles (1992, 1994)

1.2.2 When the author's surname is not referred to in the text, write in brackets the author's surname followed by the year of publication.

Examples:
One author: (Foucault 2006)
Two works by two authors: (Jones 1946; Smith 1948)
One work by two authors: (Jones and Smith 1948)
More than two authors: (Green et al.; 1995)
More than one work by the same author: (Boggles 1992, 1994)

1.3 Reference list and bibliography

1.3.1 Your should include a full List of References at the end of the text. If appropriate, there can also be a Bibliography. Both should stick to the following format:

Author's surname [comma] author's fornames or initial, year of publication [in brackets] title and subtitle of the book in italics [comma] edition [comma] place of publication [colon] name of publisher [full stop]

Example:
Ulrich, W., (1983) Critical Heuristics of Social Planning, Chicago: University of Chicago Press.

1.3.2 If the reference is for an article, follow the above format but put the title of the article in inverted commas [comma] editor's surname [comma] first name / initial [comma] title of book or journal in italics, publishing information as above.

1.3.3 For websites, if the author and date information is available, follow the above format and replace publishing information with the full url address in place of publication information and also give the date accessed in square brackets. If there is no author, use the name of the website in both the citation and to begin the reference. In the latter case, have a separate list of websites referred to in this way.

Example
citation: (Tordino 2006)
reference: Tordino, D., (2006) 'Musical language in the VJing art', from: http://www.vjtheory.net/web_texts/text_tordino.htm [accessed 20.01.07].

citation: (vjtheory.net)
reference: VJ Theory, 'Cine Falcatrua', from: http://www.vjtheory.net/art/falcatrua.htm [accessed 20.01.07].
